The teenage track is the best-documented small ministry in the archive. The early site kept separate junior high and senior high pages; the WordPress era organized it under connect/youth and grow/youth, with a named series, Devoted, and dated events down to individual Sundays.

A congregation's own ledger shows the same teenage column: the events dated, the camps priced, the names kept.

The stated protocol

The structure was two-tiered by age, junior high and senior high on the early pages, a single youth ministry later, meeting on its own night and folded into the Sunday discipleship hour. The events calendar adds the texture: youth meetings numbered like a series, a frisbee golf picnic, campout entries, a camps page for summer. A congregation's own ledger shows the same teenage column everywhere: the events dated, the camps priced, the names kept.

What the record measures

A congregation's own ledger shows the same teenage column: the events dated, the camps priced, the names kept.

The Devoted series is the instrument: numbered editions across consecutive Sundays in late 2014, then a successor series, which measures a real curriculum cadence, not occasional babysitting. Youth event entries carry dates, iCal links, recurrences, the marks of a ministry that expected repeat attendance. The camps page and the mission-trip reports in the sermon archive extend the track beyond the building.

The deviation

Youth ministry pages are aspirational documents; the archive shows the offer, not the attendance. Whether Devoted 23 drew twelve teenagers or forty is unrecorded, as is the youth leader's name in the later era. The early site is more personal, with photos and names, the later one more polished and less populated, a trade-off the bench notes without resolving.

The two eras of youth pages

The early junior high and senior high pages read like a youth pastor's notebook, informal, photo-heavy, close to the kids. The later youth section reads like a ministry brochure, cleaner, less personal. Both are real records of the same practice at different temperatures. The bench does not score one above the other; it notes that the shift mirrors the whole site's arc from handmade to professional, and that something is always lost when a notebook becomes a brochure.

Held against the sermon archive

The youth record also intersects the sermon files: mission-trip reports and youth-camp Sundays appear in the dated preaching list, which means the teenage track periodically took the main stage. The bench weighs that as integration rather than segregation, the youth ministry visible in the parish's largest instrument, not confined to its own pages. A track that surfaces in the archive's biggest file set is a track the whole congregation was asked to notice, and the record shows they were.

The campouts and the camps page

The camps page and the dads-and-kids campout add the outdoor layer to the youth card: the track extended past the building into weekends away, the standard instrument of American youth ministry for bonding a group. The archive files them under events and grow alike, dated, recurring in type if not in name. For the bench they confirm the ministry's ambition: not a holding pattern for teenagers but a program with seasons, peaks and its own calendar gravity.

What the bench can certify is the scaffolding: named series, dated meetings, camps and picnics, all recurring in the record. The teenagers themselves remain, as they mostly were, just out of frame.

Verdict

Documented: a two-tier youth ministry with a numbered teaching series, dated events, camps and picnic entries. Not shown: attendance, leadership in the later years, retention. The table was set every week; how many sat down is the gap in the card.
